If I get a new motherboard, is there anyway to stop from formatting my entire hard drive with windows XP? since microsoft is a vigilante of p****s, they lock up XP if you install new hardware so you have to formatt , reinstall and reactivate XP

if you have a legal copy of XP, you should just have to call them or something and reactivate it.
if i were installing a new mobo, i'd format anyway.

Hmm, wasn't this disabled somewhere along the production run? I've made plenty of hardware changes and it hasn't complained once, just takes it like the MS b***h that it is.
