I have heard that Chaos will be overpopulated when it comes out. Is that assumption true? Warhammer Online is fantastic game, but even now, there are amazing numbers of active players. I cannot imagine what will happen when new expansion comes out. I think that many servers will be overpopulated in the first few months. What is your opinion about this?
I am a big fan of everything that is connected to Warhammer Online. I just adore playing this game, and I do it every day. I think that in the first several weeks, servers that are running Chaos will not be overpopulated. Always new extensions need a certain period for the players to install it and play it. They are always first finishing every quest in the “old†game, and only when they complete them all, start to play new expansions. I believe that it is also going to be true for Chaos.

Sadly, from what a friend told me who is in the WAR beta, the Chaos Chosen who are easily one of the cooler looking classes, is mad gimp when it comes to dps. I'll most likely be on Alliance. |
And by Alliance I mean Order lol.
God damn WoW, I haven't even played it in 6 months and it's still in my mind haha.
From talking to my friends it seems there will be a reverse dichotomy with WAR from WoW...
in WoW, Alliance had more appealing races, Nightelves and Gnomes and Dwarves, and well, Human, while Horde had generally uglier races.
in WAR it seems to be the other way around, Chaos seems infinitely cooler - Magus with a flying disc, huge ork boyz with enormous axes, dark elves, vs Order's cheeky knights with huge plume feathers, emo elves, and lego-block looking dwarves.

It'll probably be different for every server. Though, as most MMO's I think the Order side will tip the scales on average in their favor. People just seem to enjoy playing characters that seemingly follow the "good" path.
I'm going to play both. An orc Choppa and an empire Witch Hunter.
Whichever class happens to be more fun to play, that's what I'm going to stick with.

My theory on the overpopulation of chaos on the beta servers (so I've heard) is simply because many mature players saw the intrinsic coolness in Chaos and/or are tired of playing the relatively "good guys" that is Order. By mature, I meant that an applicant for the beta must be over 18 years old, which weeds out the younger crowd.
I think that once the game launches, a larger proportion of younger players will choose Order over Chaos because, as mentioned before, Order seem more like the good guys. Also, remember that Legolas is a regular elf, not a dark one.
As for the more appealing race theory, it's not as black and white as in Warcraft with the Alliance and the Horde, with the former having pretty races and latter having ugly races (until the Blood Elves were introduced). In Warhammer, both factions seem to have near equal amount of appealingness in their races.
Whatever the case, I think that the unbalance will balance out throughout the game's life, either naturally or by intervention from Mythic.

Kinda reminds me of the massive amount of undead warlocks in WoW! In the same respect, it'll be a real b***h to attempt to get the healing classes. I'm going to roll a healing class on the Chaos side, since for whatever reason, the good side seems to be more populated in the first few months of a game.
