I don't see why people say iMacs are so bad for gaming. Infact, I'm running on the new Intel Core 2 Duo 20' at the moment, and I've found it to be the best compute I've had so far.
I mean yea, the support for gaming isn't all to great, but if a game is created for it, it looks beautiful. I run WoW on full graphics and have 0 lag. No lie. They also come with Bootcamp/Parallels. If anyone knows what that is. In my opinion macs are great for gaming.
Your thoughts?

Generally the lack of scope for upgrading hardware, meaning that you have to buy a whole new system which costs an arm and a leg. That and the fact you have to run bootcamp where you could just run windows and save money on buying that apple in the first place.
I'm sure if there were major games made for mac or even made available from pc versions then it might shrug off the stigma that comes with owning an apple. Although EA and other companies are talking about releasing games for macs they are still going to be seen as being used by long haired musicians, photographers and 'noobs' who don't care about whats going on inside their mac, as long as it works.

What sucks more, is that you can't play most of the good games. The best games are all PC 
Macs are for people who can't use a computer properly. It probably has a message on the screen saying "move the mouse and the cursor moves. OMG! OMG means Oh My God."
A massive arrow pointing to every icon too.

Actually.....
Most of your new macs are using intel chipsets, and are almost identical to PC's in every way and quite simple to upgrade these days. You can even install windows vista on a mac fresh out of the box!  Long as you have windows installed (duel installs work great as well) you can play all of your windows games or use your windows programs. The Mac Pro as well as the Macbook Pro are amazing computers straight out of the box and you are really getting what you pay for.
For the record I am not a mac enthusiast, I've always built my own rigs, however, I have friends and family members who use macs and love them. I myself have had the pleasure of using them as well and theres not a thing wrong with them. They are great machines and its a shame everyone gives them such a bad rep.

personally i have a macbook pro for producing music on and i play games in my spare time although i sometimes get annoyed that things such as swift switch are not supported by macs atm but i'm sure things will become a lot more compatible in the next few years.
i cant say a bad word about them apart from that!

Macs aren't bad for gaming in the sense that they can't run games- the new Intel-based macs can have a Windows XP/Vista dual-boot environment set up so you can play all your favourite Windows games.
The only downside to owning a Mac is that they're overpriced and generally impossible to upgrade yourself- most of the parts are soldered on to the motherboard and can't be upgraded without buying a new computer. In short, why bother in the first place? PCs are cheaper and can everything a Mac can. Only stupid people own macs.

I like my 24" iMac. It runs all my games fine in both OS X and Windows XP - never had any problems with that.
What I prefer it over my Dell PC is that everything is integrated. It's brilliant for just grabbing the remote control and turning on Front Row, for music/movies/etc. Nothing comes close for Windows; everything is much clunkier in comparison.
I use a Microsoft mouse though, because the standard Apple one is terrible.  And yes, it can right click just fine!

Depends on why your using a mac really. I'm getting one for music creation purposes but would never leave my vista behemoth PC for gaming reasons!

the mac interface sucks for games especially wow like how you cant multitask ventrillo while playing a game you have to minimize it first then talk thengo back into a game so i dont reccomend macs when you playing a game that involves a lot of pvp
