I think that this is very big mistake for the designers of Guild Wars. Putting only one playable race in the game as option is really not smart move at all I think. And these are no other, but humans… I mean why? And how fun it actually is? No wonder that people are giving up from this game so easily, switching back to World of Warcraft….

Hey, you can speak only for your self. Because, this is absolutely not true. People are reverting back to Wow, because of other reasons. Actually, they come to play GW just because they need to take some rest of World of Warcraft. And I think that there is only one playable race, just because there are many other features making this game equal with the top one. This is anyway true only for the first chapter. In subsequent chapters, you will be able to choose the other ones than human race.

I would have also like to have seen another playable race, I love the concept of RvR games its so fun to have mass wars with each race going head to head. A game that I think of was Rf online that had a very good RvRvR gameplay. But I dont know how well this would work out with such great graphics, I would guess that too many people would lag out. But back to the diff races I think it would be fun having RvR even in just the arenas

Its not that kind of game, they are doing it to suit their lore. Its part of the integral storyline, it wouldnt be guild wars if you could play a different race, it just wouldnt make sense.
Guild Wars 2 will have multiple races, and the storyline in that will be different.

These "humans" do different things, and work together to make this game wonderful!!
I mean, who wants to be a giant cow running around?
