Hi! I think that the only reason The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar is so far doing good is because of the name, and the movies that where released. The game is not that good, and same name without LOTR in it's name would not be doing as good right now. But Why Vanguard failed? It is a unique game, not a look-alike!

Hi! I understand your anger. Majority of massively multiplayer role-playing online games are fantasy based, so many of them must look a like just a bit. I can agree that The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar would fail in a few months if there where no hobbits and well known characters in it! The only thing why Vanguard: Saga of Heroes failed is bad marketing strategy in bad timing!

Unfinished game at release I would say. I was part of the betatesters and we repeatedly said that the game was not ready for release and yet they made BIG classrevamps a few days before the release and players soon was irritated cause of the bugs and lack of contents.
Now we should say that they was forced to release it due to financial circumstances, yet this has ALWAYS proven to be the worst case for the gamers.

the game was good in theory but it was rushed and never completely finished. now their trying to finish it while it is already out and they seem to be failing at it.
