But you gotta respect anyone that can lead a lot of people like that and keep it together.

Agreed.
Regardless of who's better, keeping a guild alive as long as these two have is worthy of recognition. I've been a GL and/or officer my whole EQ 'career' and know exactly how much of a pain in the ass it can be, especially when you get a nice-sized exodus.

Love him or hate him Mack gets shit done. He has went from good to great to s****y to gone to good and you name it several times now. Are they as successful as ED or TA? Nope. However he manages to get people to follow and work and try and get stuff done.
Naz is just simply awesome though. He has the talent, the maturity and the leadership skills for sure. He also has people under him that have a clue for sure so even without him they will continue to grow and dominate.
I think the difference being besides the fact that ED is two years ahead of CoS is that Naz has the dedicated team support where as from what I seen if Mack isn't on CoS as a guild is just a fish out of water floundering for air or direction.
Both have ambition for sure.

Mack is a good leader, what he says, people do. They may not be the most successful guild, but as long as they are killing and having fun grats to them.
Nazlug is simply amazing.. I have never seen a better GL then him. He does an amazing job of keeping people motivated. But he also has the support of a few very dedicated officers that are always there and helping.
Just 2 different types... one strive to be the best, they give 100% and receive those rewards. The others have fun and do what they can and receive their just rewards. All comes down to fun. As long as they are having it then they are doing the right thing IMO.

Ya know, you have to give it up to Mack for putting up with all the crap people give him and still holding a guild together.
While he may lack some of the skills naz has in learning new encounters and teaching his guild how to beat them, id have to say holding a guild like CoS together and modivating them to go on has to be 100 times harder than keeping a guild that constantly sees the best loot and encounters first.

Haha yeah I have no clue how Mack does it. I'd have been gone a year(s) ago if I went through everything that he did, granted he can be a d**k. Still though, just the fact that somebody actually made a post discussing this.. I don't like Naz, but f**k, gotta give credit where it's due... this is the funniest RP thread I've read in a while

fyi nazlug was in cos this is like old sch00l anyhow he left and made Ed that time utu was the best guild and stuff they had slayd renn cumadila etc et c
the high ppl of utu joined cos nazlug was one of them he left and made ED i dont know the reason but i know he was in cos

Having been in CoS with a past character, I'd have to say Mack's a decent leader in the sense that when he gets on he tells everyone where they are going and thats where the guild goes. Or atleast thats how it was, with loot, it was usually randomed to those who could use with handme downs, rarely was it merited. Leadership wise I know his officers did alot too.
I've never been in ED the only guild I know Naz having ever been in, however, I did have the pleasure of grouping with him right after RoK came out though when he was playing the enchanter and he was a very capeable and nice person.
I think that ED also has the added benefit that their officers are almost on the same level of the Guildmaster in terms of power. I don't know this as a fact but I have grouped with Arbaal before and co- lead a raid with him in CoM about 3 days after RoK came out and he showed alot of aspects that I would look for in a leader.
Not only is it the people that make the guild great but how your power structure is organized and what people have what responsablities. One person would have alot of trouble organizing say 50 people for a big raid where, 4 people each monitoring a specific group such as tanks, healers, nukers, and oddjobs and having the plan pre-discussed would make the raid much more effective.

You know NAz has to be p****d when he reads this. The fact that anyone would make such a post linking him with mack and thier skills being even close . Then even more p****d that people have to think about it before they answer .
For the same reasons, Mack's d**k is prolly hard . hes so excited people stopped bashing him for a moment , gave him some props and are comparing him with naz.

I think Mack was only banned once if my memory serves correctly.
Besides the guilds are on 2 different levels of competition, ED has none problably won't have any unless they finally stop upping the lvl limit and other guilds get the 1/2 year to 2 years they need to catch up.
And Clan of Shadows is far behind ED in what Major spawns they are killing. On top of that CoS has had it's ups and downs in numbers and ablity to take down the major spawns.
Eventually a guild or two will catch up to ED most likely TA and BC. This will create another bottleneck in Major MoB chances, just like back in the day when it was ED vs AM for Naggy and Vox with a few other guilds attempting shots here and there.
Every guild on the server has it's own tactics. Something that very few people seem to understand is that some guilds have to make up for their lack of equipment by using larger numbers of people thus comes the "zerg" tag. Others put the effort in and learn the fool proof tactics. However, those that train, steamroll and so on are not using "tactics" but simply being rude and negligent towards other players rights. And this rightly relfects on these guilds.

They are on different levels no doubt. Will never be on the same level. We are not comparing guilds. We are comparing leaders. And Mack has as many people under him if not more that follow him to the death if need be. Zerg or not they get stuff done. Steamroll or not they get stuff done. They follow Mack's lead. Give the guy a little credit. He has leadership skills if not there would be no CoS.

hmm i thought CoS would be no more if it wasnt for Babi steppin in and takein control when mack got banned. but besides all that i guess i have to give it to all guildleaders out there includeing Mack f**k keepin a group together can be hard enough much more a entire guild.
