Ive been in both, And hands down Both have traits better than the other. Naz though has a great council of men/women around him to help out and get the shit done. Mack doesnt have as many, though he has some who try their very best, just cant seem to get it organized. Another person who use to get shit done, was Darkfists, i member back in the day could asembly raids like no other, Now id like to know who in TA gets the 100 people on at 7 am haha thats skilz Ron

i was in both guilds when I played, and both mack and naz had good leadership traits. they're totally different people though... i've never known nazlug to be anything but considerate and driven, whereas mack had a tendency to lapse into a bit of an assholish streak once in awhile. they've both spent a lot of time leading their guilds, and they both can get the job done. one huge, huge difference though is that the strength of ED doesn't lie in one person. the guild doesn't become directionless just because nazlug isnt online. the officers (well most of them) are strong enough leaders to carry out raids and motivate people by themselves. they're helped by the fact that the members of ED, on average, are far more self-motivated than CoS. they want to be there, raiding 4-6 hours every night. they want to push on and kill that next named mob no matter how late it is. the average skill level of the ED membership is also higher, and in a game where it only takes 1 or 2 clueless people to wipe a raid, that makes a world of difference. i'm not saying that CoS are idiots or anything, they have good players for sure. the idiot ratio is just a lot lower in ED. =)

Darkfists was easly the best leader in Awakened . He always treated everyone with respect and was willing to go out of his way at any time to help anyone, not just the guild favorites. Although Fealorn ,loco and meat were all great leaders and motivated people to get the job done , they were never as approachable and thoughtfull as DF. That goes tripple if you wern't one of the guild favorites. I dont know If i ever saw DF flip out and swear in guildchat like the others did. DF was a great leader

When CoS was dying Mack pulled Babi aside and made him GL one day, said his goodbyes and retired with Luna. Babi kept that guild alive, and deserves credit for such. Those nights when CoS only had 8 people on and only 3 of them were 58+, Babi was working his ass off trying to recruit quality people that would give them a shot at doing something as stupidly trivial as VS. Babi loves CoS, but he HATED the shit that came with leading the guild. When Mack returned he gladly took it over, Mack and the rest worked their asses off to get CoS where it is today. Like him or not, he has lead his guild to the top, been kicked down to the very bottom, and clawed tooth and nail back up the ladder, you have to respect him for that.

vryone who h8s cos suks everyone hates them for what? all they been doing is getting stuff done you cant tease them for that.. They have been excelling lately and should be given some apprecation shure ed is in vt and stuff but who cares.. ED is a guild who are on all the time where as Cos isnt ANYWAY COS IS FAR FROM A ZERG GUILD they do it with less ppl then other guilds can and Mack is a great leader dispise what everyone says hes very good hes gets shit done instead of waiting 10 hours

CoS has lied, trained, cheated (shall I post the list of CoS members who've openly used SEQ? coughBazZhackUggycough), stole, verbally abused, tricked, been banned and returned to tell about it. Here's the facts for why people hate CoS (this is for Breezy, I KNOW he's reading this): AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER COS HAS ASSFUCKED EVERY GOD DAMN GUILD ON THIS SERVER. And you know what? We f**g LOVED doing it to. CoS can be described as a bunch of socially unfit degenerates that you wouldn't trust around your pet turtle, for fear of what they'd do to it. They are the most rude, uncouth, vulgar and depraved people in Everquest (with the possible exception of Omen), and they enjoy each and every minute of eachother and being just that way. CoS attracts the psychotic ragefucks, depraved minds stick together. Everyone who joins CoS does so with the full knowledge that they are joining THE single most hated guild on Tarew Marr, they love it. They get their jollies from seeing little fk guilds cry and ps and moan when the CoS Tormax pull wiped out their "Kael Bank Raid"....jesus I used to LOVE to see that shit and laugh at most of you little twatdrip guilds (yeah you f*s are reading this, I know it), and everyone else is the same. So all the CoS members who say "I don't know why everyone hates CoS!", bull f*g shit, you know damn well and you're damn proud of it. For all those hating on CoS: You're completely justified. God im so sick of the you steamrolled /trained me b****t. I got news for you. If you are in one of the top 5 guilds your guild has done it too. ED , BZ , TA , numifeks and CoS all have trained and steamrolled at some point. far as showeq goes , fk every guild has some people that use it. you are a f*****g idiot not to use it. why be at a disadvantage to all the guilds that are . very usefull tool . showeq wont help you win any encounter anyways . just a tool to tell ya when mobs are up really. once you try EQ with the zone maping and player/mob finders though you wont ever want to go back. really everyone with any PoS PC laying around unused should try it.

Since my name is mentioned I will bite and make a reply. This is long and has a bunch of stuff no one asked to hear, but maybe a few people find it interesting. Nope, never been in CoS. Was in Mithril Legion at the start. Zezal, Aismor, Eakin and a few others were the leaders. A group of us became frustrated with a few issues, namely a certain officer being deceptive. Thus we decided to make ED (The ED name came from their UO guild). Heltywk was original GM, but he was unable to meet the commitement needed to run a raid guild, so I became GM. Over the past 3+ years we have had a few officers come and go, some going to part time status, some being booted from the guild. I look back and try to remember these guys and smile really. Zubazz/Zez - still comes on once in a while, no one can cuss out a guild like him... Ask any old school ED about his rant in Veeshans Peak one night... Palleon/Varf- was a good strategist for sure, and he taught us all many things. Mercedez - king of the ninja guild invite. :p and a guy that does have a good heart and is loyal as the day is long to his friends, and a mofo to those he doesnt like. Helt - cant leave him out, a great guy and doing well on the Euro server he eventually transfered to. Ghark - what a great guy he is, good leader, level headed, all around great guy and player. Mezmer - another guy I would call friend. Has a huge heart and always tries to look at the best interest of the members of the guild. Glad he is back playing a wizzie with us again after a bit of time off. As you can see, over 3+ years as a guild and we have lost only 5 officers. Amazing. (I dont think I missed anyone,) Our active officers- these guys and gal rock. Zuez, Volx, Deava, Toric, Safron, Arbaal, and Willis. Through thick and thin these guys have been here, keeping the raids going and the guild at the top of the server. I salute them. But most of all the guild rocks. Our people rock. I cant sit here and name 75 members, but you can look at the roster and see Old School. Everyday someone steps up and does what is needed. No leader or officer makes this happen, it is the good players that do. Sure, we have rocky times in chat, like everyone. But it never lasts. Always we get back to the goals of the guild. I could turn over leadership to one of 20 people in the guild, and we wouldnt miss a beat. As for Mack. Like many stated, he has passed the test of time. Love him, hate him, you gotta respect him. How many guilds have been around as long as CoS? Not too many. I salute you as well, Mackaveli, for the things you have accomplished, not for the incidents you have caused intentionally or not. /salute Mack. As for current ED. I think we are doing quite well. We are deep in the Elemental planes. We were the 12th guild to do this, during this expansion. We were somewhat blocked early due to TM server politics and spawns being blown, or I feel we would have been top 5. Such is Life. We also achieved several Serverwide firsts. There is no feeling in the game, when you defeat an encounter that no one else has ever done. You cant read about it on some spoiler site...You are the first to do it. I want to say thanks to Hilly, Aki and some other old friends for the kind words. /cheer Finally, this, like all these other "who is best!" garbage is really just a question of "who do you know and like" not "who is the best at xxxxxxx". -Nazlug -Enlightened Dark

Honestly EQ is getting to old for the who is the best game. ED is #1 they deserve it and it's cool. People really don't even care about other servers anymore look even at FOH board they need to get really flames to get allot of posts now. Most of it is one person whining about something in the end game or RvR. Does anyone care who kills things first anymore? Maybe you go "oh cool foh killed (insert uber mob here)" but that's it, As for T Marr i doubt many guilds are trying to topple anyone else. I doubt even Awakened or BC are really trying to be #1 more as they are just trying to advance. At this point in the game people just want to advance and some still want the drama and the H8 but most just want to chill and play. I can tell you just from my opinion alone that COS does not care about being #1 we are not trying to take any #1 or #2 or #3 spots we just want to kill shit and kill it fast. We can always find drama somewhere and yes we well end up seeing more sooner or later we will bump heads with someone but that is the nature of EQ. Rank us as you wish we don't care we will contiune to play and kill and move forward at our leasure and f**k what anyone says. I hope we can all keep out of each others hair so we all get a shot at stuff that's what i belive most people really want.
