Youve got to take into account the Bush supporters who would back Bush if Bush got 666 tatooed to his forhead and got crab claws surgically grafted to his wrists

I wholeheartedly agree. Rap music, and hip-hop in general, is leading to the degradation of our youth. Parents need to take control.

simple mastery of writting and proper spelling does not make a person intelligent, you should know that... such a weak and stupid arguement to suggest it does.
Bush may be a complete genius or a complete fool, only time will tell, there is not enough information to judge, yet.

Actually they correlate very well, with a correlation coefficient of 0.42 (which is very high by psychological standards). So, except in cases of dyslexia, someone who does not know how to spell something as simple as "you're", "writing" or "argument" can be expected to lack intelligence.

knowledge and application of knowledge however are different things... to assume that he does not know the difference simply because he does not demonstrate it over a very very informal medium would be unwise.

This is a good example of failing to apply knowledge.

I think what it is is that people are failing to understand the meaning of contractions.
For instance, "who's" and "whose". "Who's" is a contraction for "who is", but I see people writing "Who's is it", when it should be "Whose is it".
I agree with Confused here. The only time you should make a mistake like that is if you're typing quickly or not paying attention. It's basic, 3rd grade grammar! =/

You could also use the argument that the gaming industry has either destroyed language or cropped a new language of it's own. In that instance the standards of currently acceptable English would not apply. In fact one could go as far to say that this is the first steps into evolving the language yet again into something new and free. Someone speaking say 16th or 17th century english would certainly say that the context and slangs we use were definitely not proper. So it goes back to a form of perception that there is only one way. Might as well put blinders on and never change if that's the case.

I wouldn't agree with that statement, but i would say that it is necessary to propagate.
