1) Ignore a thread
2) Ignore a poster
3) User highlight - colors a thread name (in Index view) if a certain user has posted in it.
thanks

If I want to ignore someone, I DON'T READ WHAT THEY SAY.
Works enough for me, and if I for whatever reason want to ignore a thread, I don't click on it.
Seems simple enough for me, phpBB doesn't need these features.
Third one is pretty much useless imho, that's what the search engine is for.

ignoring people would be a little weird being that most threads are like conversations
people responding to people that arent there would make threads weird and unreadable
so i think it would be useless to ignore anyone unless they were a spammer and those get blocked / deleeted anyway

...and since you're guaranteed to see Paden at least 4 times in every thread, it would make browsing frustrating.

They would be awsome. Most of you need to get it through your heads that just because a feature may be avalible doesn't mean you have to use it.
They would all be great.
Sick of that spam thread that continually keeps getting bumped? Ignore it and you no longer have to see it.
Sick of a particular poster, ignore them and any posts from the don't show up in threads.
How many of you honestly do search user name regularly to see if your favorite poster said something? Maby there is someone who doesn't post very often at all but you enjoy their posts. If you could have threads they posted to coloured different then great.
Just because the feature is there doesnt mean it is always on or that you have to use it. A lot of people would though so go for it Dunn.

Nah. I do it in IRC, and don't miss out on anything, so I'm used to it there.
It's not as bad as you'd think it is..and besides, just because I ignore him, doesn't mean you have to..you can still get 100%, while me, don't have to read his illiterate and often lacking in substance "posts".

I just want to be able to ignore an entire thread. Not a person... whole thread so that if it bores me, it doesn't keep pupping up on the list. That would be wonderful <nods>
