|
|
|
Seriously ?
I'm a raid addict. ( blame Mack )
DV has had some troubles and I was thinking that when I rejoined CoS that my troubles would be over.
They aren't.
Now more than ever I realise that there are fewer and fewer players in the aussie / NZ / asia time zone.
I don't want to quit EQ again. I have made too many friends and enjoy the game too much.
Therefore I would like to get an idea of who plays and who would like to raid in this time zone.
You don't have to be australian ect but you MUST want to raid most nights a week. ( even just monday - friday )
I'm not talking raiding EVERY night of the week, and I'm not talking about making a raiding party to get peoples epics done.
I'm talking about setting up a group of serious players in my time zone, who enjoy this game and the challenges it presents.
You may ask, ' Is this guy recruiting for CoS or what ? '
hmmm no not really, though if I could add 50 players to my time zone under the CoS flag, I would be happy, I really just want to raid, and do it well.
With the communications abilities in EQ these days we could raid under our own guild flags and still communicate without problems.
A lot of the players from Australia know me, and a lot of the regular posters here from the USA will not know me.
Those that do know me, will think of me as a bit of a joker and never too serious about most things.
This I am very serious about, I don't want to move servers, I don't want to change guild tags again, and I don't want to quit EQ.
All I want to do is raid and enjoy EQ.
Feel free to PM / email me if you are interested.
Thanks for your time.

I don't mean to dash your hopes, but there's not *that* many Aus/NZ types on TM. If you can't get along with DV, I'd have to say your chances of getting another late-night raiding organization together is pretty slim. BC used to have some pretty good late-night raids, but they were usually 30% Aus/NZ and 70% bleary-eyed west coasters like me hehe.

Australian eastern standard time.
Theres ( I think ) 2 hours difference between NZ AEST and AUs west time.
So a raid at 7pm aest should be 9pm NZ and 5pm western.
In theory.

GMT EXISTS FOR A REASON
STATE YOUR GMT TIME HERE
For instance, I am "Eastern daylight savings" timezone. I am GMT-5.
That means when it's 7pm for me, it's midnight for GMT
It really makes this 'I THINK IN LIBYA IT'S 4AM WHICH MEANS, 2 HOURS NORTH, IT'S ACTUALLY ONLY 4AM. SO CALIFORINA CAN STILL RAID WITH US' crap avoidable.

oh and by the way there a a few time zone conversion sites.
I found www.worldtimezone.com handy.

You don't need to raid to play EQ. I haven't raided in 2 years.

Thank you Oonst, at least you understand what I mean.
I'll give you a yell tonight Pedron, I'm not expecting to raid anything big.
Well not at least till we work out a solid group and know our capacities.
If we have to start with Kunark dragons and go from there, thats where I will start.

There are a quite a lot of NZ/Aussie players scattered around various guilds on TM.
Most of them are probably pretty happy where they are now though.

The point is not to move them from their guilds, just to do some raiding.

I remember one time setting up an early morning hunt with Sutto. He invited some CoS friends of his, and shortly after, Mack logged in and made our target a CoS raid. Leaving Sutto and I annoyed at the hijacking. What kind of gaurantees do you give that Mack won't do that to your raids?

Ummm because I wouldn't let that happen ?
Iv'e known Mack for a long time, he wouldn't do that to me.
Besides, for him its like 4am, and I rarely see him during the week.
Are you interested Val ?
If you are I would be glad to have you around if you are.

I play some pretty wacky hours, but hey I'm usually bored so look me up and I'll probably come too!
I won't touch ToV or Chardok though.

I like chardok, and dont mind assassinating named for loots (solo of course) but the long term faction hits involved in any kind of raid there just suck ass.
