I think we shoulda mowed down the people on the bridge who were celebrating around the mutilated corpses of those 4 defense contractors.

Just fly in with some Kiowa's with gattling guns on them and taken the f*****s out. People like that don't deserve to live.

Granted it would've create an uproar in the country and a political firestorm, but in a logical world it would've been a great response. That shit wouldn't happen again.

I woulda done it just to spare the corpses from mutilation, not so much as a revenge thing.

Good point.

Supposedly the reason they did it was in retaliation for us firing randomly into a crowd and killing 15 people a few months ago. Killing more innocent people probably wouldn't help.

Well, they were stupid to allow their faces to be seen on news footage...I'm sure we will be doing house to house searchers for these sick individuals and bringing them to justice under the "New Iraqi Laws"...at least I hope.

Dude, noone here was being a j*****s. And it's a pretty normal thing to identify yourself with the actions of your country abroad.

You got one major chip on your shoulder.

It's just a sensitive subject for some people. We sit here all day contributing to this war even if we don't agree with it and people are fed up already. People are dying...we're sitting here in comfort talking about it and thinking we have the right to an opinion. Thinking we have a say in what's happened already...

Thinking that these Iraqi's are complete scum, when maybe they have some legitimacy in their efforts...maybe they were tricked into believing their efforts have merit. Maybe they don't know any better...and it's hardly up to an American sitting in his office to say these guys deserve to be treated like barbarians, as someone so eloquently put..

Personally, I don't mind what Docter said and I know his intentions are good...He just wants to share the feeling that justice will be served to those who are deserving...

Some of you have already forgotten to realize that people are really dieing...it's almost surreal. You hear about it day in and day out and it starts to become desensitizing..you forget about the pain and the suffering. When someone comments so boldy about this subject, people who are in a state of mind where they are constantly thinking about these things are sensitive and will become angry if you don't show the same amount of sincerity in your words or actions.. I should have left it as.."its a sensitive subject" but I like to type alot :\...

It's a sensitive subject ya, but I've not seen anything even approaching 'bold' in this thread, especially compared with the previous threads on Iraq on this board.

Like I said he has a chip on his shoulder. May be understandable or what not but he still overreacted.

I can understand annoyance at 'armchair warriors', I just felt it was rather misplaced in this thread.

Yea I guess you're right...hopefully the chip has nothing to do with Doc personally, but as long as we're all understanding and help diffuse the negativity before it starts, I think we'll be headed in the right direction.

It's part of the reason I even posted...I just don't like to see people spawn more hate over something that's already causing enough pain to enough people already. Sad
