f**k Google homepage, I just made my own page with like 20 feeds.
An RSS feed is basically a headline feed from another site. You can get news aggregator programs that will read the crap you tell them to so you don't have to check 200 sites a day. In Firefox, if you open the bookmarks window, you can do "Add New Live Bookmark" and put in an RSS feed URL (e.g. http://rss.cnn.com/rss/cnn_topstories.rss ) and it'll appear as a folder in your bookmarks. When you open the folder, the headlines'll be in there. Firefox updates the feeds periodically. Some sites like Google's custom home page (www.google.com/ig) allow you to put your feeds there for easy reading.
