I will answer just for you Odeous.
Who is "historically right" can never be settled. Both sides involved in the conflict have legitimate arguments supporting them that are open for interpretation and debate.
The correct answer is what should we do now? Look at the demographic and political reality. Split the historic land into 2 states, one Jewish and one Palestinian based roughly on current borders with minor adjustments.
There you go sir, 1 legit answer.
