my younger sister's boyfriend does. he is 19 and goes to art school in Toronto for comic design.

He's been doing to since a kid, and recently went to a comic book convention a week ago.

I collected from 16-24 (28 now). My collection consisted of anything Iron Man (1960's and up) to the Image/Valiant boom. After that, I quit.

i used to collect archie comics long long ago funny thing is i still have them in storage they have been read maybe two or three times each then put away so they are all in pretty good condition and i used to get each one as they were put out so i have a pretty full collection no missing numbers for the time i did collect them.

i have a few other comic books put away like little devil richie rich spiderman (including the special edition one).

i havent seriously collected anything since i was really young though and now am 31 with a couple boxes of crap i have no idea if any are worth anything.. im guessing not on most or all except the special edition one, and possibly the richie rich 100th.

I collect comics at the moment, mind you I was huge in it while I was in middle-school to high school, graduated in 95. Then I stopped for a couple years and I started again like two to three years ago.

I mostly read DC comics, since they are alot more adult based now, but i still keep up with one of the X-Men comics. the Young Avengers, and the New Avengers, think thats like the only Marvel comic I get.

From DC I read Batman, Superman, Greenlantern Mini-Series with Hal Gordan, Superman/Batman comic and the JLA. I also read The Authoity by Wildstorm, who is owned by DC.

Yup that's about it, used to read alot more when i was younger, but i just don't have th etime, don't have time now, i have like 30 comics i need to read to catch up.. Smile

I only have one comic I've held onto all these years. My sister's boyfriend gave me a copy of The Hobbit in comic book form. It was only published once I believe. It's in 3 parts. All three parts are in their original plastic and they've only been removed maybe once.

I was only 12 at the time (I think) I'm 27 now.

Taken out of context. Sad
I know how old I am now, I don't remember how old I was when I got it.

I stopped collecting when I was 25. Mostly DC comics. Oldest book was Hulk #181 because it was the Wolverine issue.

My local store where I bought some comic bags thinks kids will stop collecting and the bottom will fall out in 20 or so years.

I collected from when I was 9 to 15. I still have my collection stored away in my parent's house. It is mainly special and #1 issues of Marvel's from mid 70's to late 90's. Large collection of X-Men and Fantastic Four though.... I tried to get all issues of these in like new condition. It took up pretty much all my weekly allowance, and when I turned 15 I quit buying comics and all my money went into gas. hehe

Edit: I'm 21 now.

The card game is a little after my time, I played D&D in the army, still have the old books.

Most of the comics i collected back in the late 70s, some from the late 80s, and a few top end ones in the 90s.

I have over 22 #1 Iron Man all at least vf/nm, 11 are slabbed CGC 9.2 or better. I have one 9.6 #1. I have about 200 IM comics from #2 through #15, the last 12 cent Iron man. All nm or better. I have one of the 2 highest graded ever IM #6, at 9.6.

Someday I will sell and use the money for a different toy. Maybe a bike.....who knows.
