magician one might still have its uses .. being that its like summoning a manaless pet once you have the orb up paladin one is just like .. wtf.. there are WAY better weapons than it that are WAY easier to get .. it started being useless in velious

It's not that magician epic is useless, it's that it's not nearly useful enough for the work it takes to get. The same goes for the paladin epic.

SK epic lets em 2-handed bash (without the AA). That's pretty neat. Dunno about Pally epic. I almost voted necro epic for the sake that it casts a spell they can cast themselves and, well, it's not like necros run out of mana. But, lo, I voted magician epic. It should have a serious kick-ass focus effect on it. In fact, they all should. (Except bard of course since f***g FOCUS ITEMS DON'T WORK ON f***g BARDS). I mean, I dunno... NEW focus effects. Like a 50% haste to summoning spells for mages or, I dunno, something.

Epics are kunark-era weapons. Forget about them already. The only ones that are worth doing now are clerics because the click speeds things up on raids. The rest of them are totally worthless if you don't get them in your low 50s. Rog, Monk, Beastlord, and Ranger epics are probably worth it if you can knock em out when you're young because the quests are easy. Any class that is actually equipping their epic at 65 though should be loooking for an upgrade.

You kidding me? Monk epic "probably" worth it?

Monk epic takes a whopping one group and maybe a week to complete tops, it's one of the better monk hand slot items with 40% insta-click haste. Hence why most lvl 65 monks are still wearing them.

Sure, as far as using them as weapon goes, they're pretty s****y by todays standards. But as far as a hand piece goes, they are phenomenal for such little work to obtain.

Edit: Forgot to mention, Beastlord epic is quite possibly the single ugliest piece of shit ever to be seen in EQ since Rennol in Kunark

As a cleric I rarly carry my epic. It's kept in a bag and I only used it for the click rez. Otherwise I carry my Mace of Dark Thought. I see many cleric at 65 still carrying their epic, and I know several have looted better, and was wondering if I was missing somthing(I'm not). Started looking around to see what other we're still carring theirs. I see many rangers still using theirs, I see warriors using half an epic, Enchanters always have theirs.... So who poopoo's on there's the quickest?

Monk epic still is nice, 100hp, 10 stam, 10 to all saves, 40% haste click... err how can you even say that sucks? There are very few things I would consider equipping over it, even including Ele-planes. I would consider the monk epic the best epic that was made, possibly over-powered for when it was made. Some would say epic, but as a cleric said earlier, after a certain point its just an item that you bag and use later on, not a 100% all the time thing, unlike the monk epic. So in closing, monk epics owns all your epics, remake as monks! We are godlike! Oh, and Vashers was'nt 100% serious. He really loves pally buffs on raids. Just ask him.

I disagree.
Epic still does the most dmg, on anything that it can land its proc on.

Yea I forgot about bards, just like clerics, it has an effect that hasn't been replaced, so it's still used even though it's a piece of crap. Monk epic is a pretty decent pair of gloves and the click is nice if there's not shaman or enchanter around. All three warrior epics blow, but some warriors don't realize this and continue to offhand the red one for the proc.

i think SK and pally ones are the most useless, you can spend a few weeks doing the quest and killing alot of time for a group or two of people, or throw out like 9k and buy a better dmg/dly weapon. necro is pretty bad too considering how much of a pain it is to get

Actually, it took me 3 hours last night to do everything past the RotWF, using a 65 rogue and 65 druid, and only using a wizard for a ride to PoAir. Grats my level 19 monk on Celestial Fists.
