Couple of suggestions:
1. Be one of those Alaskan fishermen type people.
2. Join the military.
3. Go by yourself on a trip to another continent that you have never been to before.
4. Become a gynecologist.

People have to many ties to work, and family, or gf/bf's to explors now a adays. You do not want to adventure Mr. Dunn  That's why worlds such as norrath, and Kalimdor, and Azeroth are created for us.

I didnt read this entire thread but behind my house is a huge f*****g mountain. Yup, complete with streams, trees and animals....ya know, that nature shit. Every time I walk up there its different. Currently the stream is frozen but the water is flowing just under the crust. Its pretty.
