Sorry if this has been covered somewhere already, but I've not found anything as of yet. Does anyone know what triggers or how you gain a Skill Point? Right now it just seems like I get one every 15 minutes, or ever 10 kills or something -- In addition, do you ever earn more than 1 skill point at a time?

You earn 1 Skill point per X experience (excluding rested bonus exp.)

Seems to be every 600XP to me but I haven't found anything i can kill that hits exactly 600xp over X number of kills yet.
Talking to one level 39 he had around 700 points and they just kept coming, doesn't appear to be a cap yet

at 39 a few times ive gotten 2 skill points per kill, i see a problem with this if we cant use skillpoints sometime down the road for different spells, class abilitys..or something like that.
ive got 2 expert tradeskills, a ton of misc trade skills to rank 2, maxed stats and still sitting on 1200 banked SP's, and i got a few friends closing in on 2000 banked sp's =/
if it limited you to say, 1 gathering skill and 1 trade skill, economy would be much better off imo

It goes off your rested state also. At well rested you get a skill point every 600 exp. At exhausted lvl you get a skill point every 75 exp.

So you can grind away and get more skill points per lvl then someone who only expes rested.
I'd imagine skill point gane will be nerfed come release, they're just giving you so many to test out all the things you can use them on

Yes if you want less exp you can get more SP's right now. But doing it is pointless since you will have a ton at 30+ anyways. Once the talent system is in i am sure they will be readjusted.

the rate we get them isnt the issue, the things we have to spend them on is..
however that justs means they either need to add shit to use with SP's or, as you said..nerf how many we get =p

THey already said that, at the least, tradeskills will take a hit, you'll only be able to learn 3 at the same time i think?
