I'm in downtown chicago right now and I'm supposed to go back to Atlanta on wednesday, but instead I'm going to fly my lovely fiance up and stay here with her until next saturday. Are there any must-see places in downtown chicago?

I use to live in addison which isnt far from downtown.

Check out Navy pier... Its usually beautiful this time of year .... the shops are pretty nice.

Downtown Chicago has alot to see just drive around . Food there is superb .

I'm returning the rental car because It's like $30-$40/day to park downtown. Navy Pier sounds good, though.

Why limit yourself to downtown? Why not head over and visit Cabrini Green?

Take her to Hogs and Hunnies. Liquor + Mechanical Bull = Good times Razz Plus you can get one of the hot half naked bartender chicks dancing on the bar to pour shots down your throat.

Or the Admiral Theatre - I realize this is probably and oxymoron but it's gotta be one of the classiest strip clubs I've seen. It's a juice bar though because it's full nude, so be sure to drink before hand!

If your really adventerous you can always head to boys town Razz I've heard the Man Hole is quite entertaining!

On a serious note I would reccomend Water Tower Place. It's an amazing mall and has a phenominal toy store. It's always really done up this time of year too.

And of course there are the musem's. The Field Museum, Musem of Science and Industry, and the Shedd Aquariam are also great if your into those sorts of things. I believe they sell passes that are good for all 3 loctaions too if I remember correctly. (They are all relativly close, the Field Museum and Shedd are right across the street)

If your looking for say a good lunch spot I'd look for Ed Debevicks. It's set up old fashioned and it's a riot. All the staff there is rude to you (in a funny way of course) on purpose and they get up on little stages and do singing performance's. It's really a lot of fun.

Also by Navy Peir there are a couple places where you can go out on a dinner cruise of lake michigan. Those are a little pricy but can also be a nice experience. I believe the names of the two boats i remember are The Oddessy and Spirit of Chicago.

The Sears Tower is worth mentioning i guess. If it's a clear day it's almost worth paying to go up there just for the view.

There's a ton of stuff to do down there. Just try not to get too lost as there are definatly some grade A ghetto's that probably aren't the best places to wander to lol Hope this helps a little

Man, you stole mine! The Man Hole on Halsted is pretty funny. There's all kinds of bizzare **** shops there too. That's always funny. (I only know this because there is a really big shoe store over there.)

You shouldn't have any problems getting around without a car. Between cabs and the L, you should get anywhere pretty cheap.

One of my favorite places in Chicago is the Checkboard. It's a really seedy blues club, but you won't ever see anything like it anywhere else.

Not must-see, but I think there's a Q-zar (laser tag) in Chicago. You should take your girlfriend there. It's lots of fun!

I second Cabrini Green and also suggest Stoney Island. They are very romantic during the evening.
