Post the server you are on.
Obviously the majorty of you are on Ifirt.
Just courious so I can make a final discision on where I want to start my new char. Also what are the world numbers or what ever, you enter to get on a certan server?

I like Bismarck. f**k the new servers. The Japanese are all so kind and friendly.....Imagine a server filled with North American a******s, more like these forums (=
There is nothing like "I don't speak english, I help you!"
That shows that extent to which Japanese players will go just to help you out.
Could you imagine if we reversed roles for a second and we were the ones with 1.5 years head start?

Wont be on much today, but ask Tura he is very helpful ^^ Stupid classes and homework are so evil, why can't life be about booze, women, ffxi, and friends?  Also read the manual, it gave me tons of answers. As for hotkeys go to macros on your right side menu.
/ma "Cure" <me>
that would be for curing yourself (ma = magic ability)
/ja "Provoke"
Just target something (that's a job ability)
/ws "Fast Blade"
That's for using one of your weapon skills as you gain skill using a weapon.
In any of these cases except the first, you need something targeted. You can use /ma "Cure" or /ma "Banish" and it will use it on whatever you have targeted as well. For curing, I have a hotkey for each member I'm grouped with since you can't toggle between members when you have a weapon out. Tab and the F1 F2 etc. keys toggle between members of your group. That should get you started.
Start in Bastok imo because they are conquering every region that isn't beastman controlled and ALWAYS ask the guards with T.K next to their names at the gates for signet, you gain points as you fight this way

uh sandoria is in control 3/4 of th time. Not only that sandoria is one of the best starting towns(least confusing) with decent quests.

focking sucks...sand fell to 3rd place for the first time this week. We are gonna have Shakhrima and hopefully get Qufim back this week though. /pray

Its already installed bro, and Ash, I don't have the manual, I got just the cd's from a friend becasue some friendly guy traded me the account for a newb eq account.

It should be noted however, that the way the conquest system is set up, no one stays First or Last for a definite period of time. This is because the #1 will recieve considerably less CP, while the #3 will recieve almost a 2x multiplier depending on situation. To given you an example:
Nation Conq. Area #1 Conq. Area #2 Conq. Area #3
#1 1x 2x 2x
#2 2x 1x 2x
#3 2x 2x 2x
Subsequently, Signet duration varies depending on nation overall ranking as well. With #3 having a longer duration than #1, and ascending ranks recieving a bonus timer.
