Prot paladins can AOE farm like mages. The slowest leveling class would probably be the druid - their DPS is relative crap compared to pure classes.

feral druid is probably the fastest. slowest is probably anything like a prot warrior

Warrior, definitely. Not much fun to play, in my opinion. They lack skill variation, most of there stuff isn't interesting.

each class has become pretty great at leveling quickly with a good talent spec, Rogues Sword speced are the best, Shadow priests speced with Wand spec at a low level are great, warlocks are machines!! Warriors get better at higher levels can be tough at low levels, as you see all classes have their ups and downs, the only really downer has to be Mages which can end up with a lot of down time during the leveling process due to required to drink water constantly, but after about level 35 Frost mages def step there game up, everything is on a pretty level feild though from what ive played

It really depends on spec and gear. For rogues, mages, hunter, warlock, spec does not matter because they are pure dps. However for druid, paladin, priest, shaman, warrior, they have resto or tanking specs which will make it a lot more difficult to level.
Assuming normal gear for all classes, id guess prot warr

Any healing class that is spec'd resto. And any tanking class that is spec'd prot.

Warriors are the most difficult and tedious. Simply because you cannot heal or conjure food, you have no pet to tank for you and so on. You also cannot stunlock your opponent to death. They are so slow.

I agree, I leveled a Warrior 1-70 and it was the most annoying character I have ever made. They are REALLY gear dependant and if you don't have top notch gear then you'll be slapped around if you pull aggro and you'll have to bandage/eat all the time.

I would say warrior, such a gear dependant class! I hated leveling my druid too but since patch 2.1 thats not so bad now

All the classes are capable of leveling pretty fast with right specs, but the slowest is probably paladin. It's really the only class that benefits more from leveling as a non dps spec if that tells you anything.

For some reason I found my Druid lacking by the time he hit BC content. The Outlands were very rough on him.. slow leveling, lots of deaths even with feral spec and good gear.
