I get shit from my parents and sisters, and sometimes my wife about playing a computer game. They, meanwhile, are getting pudgy watching the idiot box for days on end. I'd really like to know how me being on the computer for 4 hours 1 or 2 days out of the week makes me a bad person. I go to work, I pay my bills, I take care of my wife and make sure she is happy BEFORE I turn it on, and I get shit anyways.
Whats the difference between watching tv and playing on a computer game and why does gaming always get the shit end of the poostick?

Because they don't understand what's fun about it I guess.
Maybe they feel watching tv is more social because they can do that with you? well... sorta.
PS I dont feel there is a difference btw, just what you prefer. When I play EQ/some other game its usually during the time I would otherwise use to watch tv, or read a book or something like that

Computer games are far better than TV. When you play games you actually INTERACT with the computer. Watching TV is a passive activity, which does little for your mind.
