ok, so what is the best race for monk in Everquest2? I am not interested in pvp, so I want to create a normal player only. What should I select here? I have heard that playing a monk is very hard and you mustn’t make any mistakes. how much is the race selection important at all?

I think that it is not so much important which race to select, everything will do just fine. There is one rule that generally applies to all games and all race selection doubts. If you don’t know what race to pick, then simply pick human, because this one is most often a well balanced race.
