i found a hell of alot of problems with p2p software the likes of kazar and limewire really screwed me over.
best option = Azureus Vuze as a client and thers plenty of sites out there

Dude, don't... if you go to http://www.hypem.com its a listing of MP3's that have been recently added to blogs. Its a huge database. Search for the song you want, follow the blog link, right click and save as on the song. Really clean, really safe and it has very good results. Plus you'll probably find a bunch of stuff that you weren't looking for, but end up getting anyways in the process. Its a great site.

I would stay away from limewire and bearshare and the likes. People tend to "inject" infected files and such. Try useing a private torrent tracker. Your reputation matters on a private tracker so people are less likely to blatantly spread infected files, they are also moderated and watched by active members of the community.

bit torrent is best for main stream stuff not much left around for hard to find stuff but a good bit torrent client is uTorrent

Soulseek.
sure you can find mp3 files on azureus, emule, limewire and any p2p shit. But they're simple file sharing softwares.
Soulseek is almost ENTIRELY dedicated to mp3 and music. It exists since several years, now and have a huge community. chat rooms for any style. And you can browes any user's shared directory and pick whatever you want. It also tells you all the important details about the audio fils (birtare, lenght, size, if you can get the file immediately or how much people are in the queue before you)
Seriously, if you're looking for mp3 only. then Soulseek is the best tool available since Audiogalaxy and Napster back in the early 2K

I do not ever use Limewire because it's illegal. Really. There isn't a good collection of songs on the Gnutella network.

I use rapidshare together with RapGet. Very good if you want to download albums or discographies. Yeah, it costs to be a premium member of Rapidshare, but it's worth it considering the download speed you get from it.

You still need those to upload them to rapidshare. At the end of the day it's easier to go with torrents imo.

Torrent for the Albums and stuff but I use limewire for the single or few songs.
Limewire does confuse me sometimes, I always have to turned off because it seems to like to suck up about 25% of my Processor sometimes even when theres nothing downloading.
