I have just started to play Guild Wars, which is my first MMORPG. I heard something about PvP, but I do not know what actually that is. I am also beginner to the whole computer scene, and I need help from you people. Can you tell me what PvP is and what it does? So far, I did not even start my first quest in the game, so you know how good I am. Every kind of help is welcomed.

First, I must ask you how you could start to play MMORPG like Guild Wars, without any research. You must do that before you start to play, or you will have millions of questions like now. Moreover, besides that, you will have many troubles during your quests. If you really want to know, PvP stands for Player versus Player. Those are duels between real, human players. It is like the real fight, but in the virtual world of Guild Wars. That way you can see how fighting fit your character is and if you are playing the game right way.
