Ok, I this isn't the greatest game in the world obviously - it's not the worst FF made. But, I've owned this game for 3 years. My first era of playing it I made it to the 3rd CD(~ 20 hours) and the generic memory card I had went INSANE and erased everything. So I hadn't touched it since.

3 years later I decide I want to beat this game. So for the past week I've been trying to do just that. Here I am, on the last CD. Roughly 5 boss fights in a row until the game is over, shouldn't take more than an hour.

BUT NO. This son of a b***h Tiamat casts a spell that INSTANTLY kills my entire party AT FULL HEALTH. Before he casts this spell I am BEATING HIS ASS. I mean he is barely touching me and I'm doing 5000+ dmg per attack. I have tried this guy 5 times in a row now and he does the same shit every time.

This spell seems similar to a regular monster's "mustard bomb", only it is an AE spell and cannot be resisted. The spell hits for 300 damage (my chars have 4000hp or more). Then appears to turn them berserk, then BOOM 2 seconds later they all die for no reason. They don't even take a hit point damage, they just fall over dead.

If anyone has been insane enough to finish this game and knows what to do with this f****t please tell me.

I've beat the game about 6-8x... That guy is a b***h because that attack he does is he only good offense. Basically you have to kill him before he starts to pull off that round of attacks he does. IE: Lvl you chars more and get all their special weps (for the ones that can). And make sure steiner and monkey boy have their highest abilities.

Only way I could beat him. You have to do it in about 2-3mins.

I don't remember that attack?

I remember the final boss being gimp though.

Ozma (think that's his name) was the REAL end boss!

Yeah, the five bosses in a row at the end was a pain in the ass. Mainly for me because my entire party was level 65 or something(a division of five) so when I got to the boss that casts level 5 death, I was f****d.

Other than that, the only problem I had was trying to decide whether to masturbate to Dagger with short hair or long hair. I still can't decide!

Hey there! FF9 sucked so much ass that I beat it once, skipped all the sidequests and then threw it in my dresser!

It was such a bad game I didnt even bother finishing it and its been sitting quietly in its drawer for a long time now. Its right down there with final fantasy 8, though the p*****g scene in 9 is still less offensive than any given point in 8.

I'm starting the real FF2 right now. The one on the Origins disk that wasn't released in the US.

I just started. What is the difference?
So far, it looks like FF1 with a different storyline and map.

I was told you gain HP based on how much you are damaged in battle and gain ATK power based on how much damage you put out. I haven't played it myself.

I never did understand where the final boss from FF9 came from. He just appears out of no where after you beat kuja. Anyone find out his purpose in the storyline?

Anyway, all I remember about the Tiamat fight was using Eiko(? the other white mage) and having Rebirth Flame work every time I died.

I could never figure out the ability "spheres" in FF9.

After 2 hours of mucking about, I decided it wasn't worth it. I went back to play FFT again (best game ever)

FF9 is resting peacefully next to Angel of Darkness in the "not even worth selling back to EB" pile

In ff9 you had a certain number of ability points to allocate, and each ability you learned costs a certain number of ability points. Was very annoying, but let you auto-resist some certain effects like blind, stone, poison, etc.

Playing FFX again right now (or maybe "watching" is the better word, because all i do is click "x" every ten minutes after a scene ends.)

I like the sphere grid system on FFX, because right now my characters are all stuck at level 3 locks because I exped so much. They are sitting there pleading to me to get keys because they are tired of sitting at Holy and Flare all day.

FF2 on the FFOrigins is impossible. After you get to the dreadnought ship it's tough, but then the next part is impossible. It's like going from VaDynn to the PoStorms lords, (ie Waste of time). The mobs are so much harder then the last section of mobs that if p****s you off after 1 fight.
