Not that it happens much with the do not call list, but does any of you guys still get any? I get maybe 2 a month and I never try to be nice, I'm not an ass to them but when the call I am like this.
Telemarketer: Hello, I'm from MCI and we have a....
Me: Sorry not intrested take me off you list, (Click)
Takes about 10 seconds, does anyone still entertain these guys?

I usually just hang up, just dont say anything.
It's a truly difficult/miserable job to have so I feel sorry for them, I would go insane working a job like that.

I did telemarketing once for a day as a teenager and I never went back.

If they are selling Windows i lead them on, conversation is something like this:
Seller: "Hi would you be interested in double glazing, we are running a special offer of 3 for 2 right now"
Me: "Actually yes. we just moved into our new home and we were looking to replace all the windows as it is an old stately home, let me ask my wife how many windows in total there are"
*pause*
Me: "38 in total with various sizes"
Seller: "Ok, can i take your details and we can send someone out to evaluate"
Me: "Nah, im just joking lol, i dont even own my own house."
Seller usually hangs up or gives a serious, "goodbye" at this point.
Commission lol.

News papers, i work for their rival, etc

then they usually hang up

i usually do the same, just interrupt and ask them not to call again
sometimes if they call at the wrong times... i.e when im drunk i will sit there for as long as they can take it and mess with their heads haha

i tell them i'll buy whatever they're selling, then i tell them to hold on a second and then i go do whatever i was doing. They wait in anticipation sometimes for very long periods of time. it's funny.

I generally pretend its a pizza place which makes them quite angry. The response is usually something like "I DONT NEED ANY PIZZA!"; lmao.

one thing i did once when a telemarketer called was to try and sell them something, i tryed selling them my wow account, unfortunetely the deal fall through and havent heard from them since.

As annoying as telemarketers are, being a telemarketer has to be one of the worst jobs in the world, so I try not to rock the boat when they call me. I just say "Not interested" and hang up.

ZOMFG... !! I hate theas people when they ask you loads of question just to try to sell you 1 thing... This is what i do..
Answer all the questions they ask you... Then when they say are you intrested say. 'No'
Haha its a waste of there time and they know not to come back to you, But dont give away you're adress because they might just wana hunt you down you never know who yu are speaking to now days..

I j**k them around. I agree to everything,then ask for upgrades and side products. get them hard and hot over a potentially massive sale, then tell them that I will just have to pass for now as I just blew my last bit off cash on the other telemarketer c**k**** who called before you,then hang up.
Other times I just say HEY ! If it is a female I solicit her for ****, if it is a male I accuse him of being gay and hitting on me and demand a supervisor, they usually hang up and add me to the DNC list without me having to ask.
