When I was in football, I was considered part of the “in” crowd. I hated that. I hate it when I'm put into a style categories, Prep, jock, skater, act. Anyhow, when I started to play eq, I started to be friends with "geeks". My friends would often give me a hard time about it or say something like, "are you turning into a n**d man ??" I would laugh about it but then it would get to me when they would call them losers and other mindless names.
Sure these guys I hung out with didn't party much or get laid but they were still cool. . I don't look at a loser as the stereotypical losers. A loser to me is, jobless, somebody that does nothing in his life but sit around, doing drugs, living off his/her parents at like 25. Spends his/her whole paycheck on drugs. Around those lines.
What do you define a loser as ?

people that are cocky and arrogant p**s me off. My friends in HS did the same shit, ide never hang out with people that put themselves up on a pedistol like that now though. Im pretty much cool with anyone no matter how f****d up they are as long as they dont cross me. Let people be whatever the f**k they wanna be

Winner's don't waste time playing a game that isn't a 'game' but actually just an escape. The same as any legal or illegal drug. Winner's try to be successful. No one who matters defines success as level 65 with a bunch of AA points. Stop playing EQ. Stop being a loser. Hint: (The people in you 'in' crowd are losers too.)

No, he saw the truth and weaned himself off an addiction.
EQ is a time sink and a waste of time. Finding things to do IRL, things that you enjoy, is how normal people pass time in life. Zoning out in front of a glass tube, looking at all the pretty colors, for hours and hours at a time is beyond idiotic. It took me a long time to see this, but I'm glad I finally did. The thing about EQ is that its easy, easy to get lost and stare at the glass tube. It takes effort to get off your ass and find things to do that require real life participation.

I'm not challenging the fact that playing Everquest 8 hours a day for 4 years isn't loser-worthy. Saying that winners are ONLY people who don't use any kind of substance for any kind of reason and always try to suceed is b******t, though.
I can sit on a dock, fishing pole in one hand, beer in the other and be perfectly f*****g happy. I wouldn't give a f**k about catching fish and I'd still be happy. Without applying who I am to this situation, would you call the person on the dock a loser?

No, the point is not about whether or not he catches the fish. Mugaaz said that defining a non-loser includes *always wanting to succeed*. If I'm not sitting on that dock thinking about catching a fish every minute, that doesn't make a loser - that makes someone who's not really interested in always succeeding, but rather enjoying the time it takes to get to success.

I think loser is just a word to give to people you don't respect. For whatever reason.
For me it would be someone who does nothing with their life. Or bitter people who spend so much time convincing themselves and everyone around them that they're better than the rest. People who think themselves important, when they're really not, and have a bad attitude to boot. True leaders aren't arrogant, they're self-assured. Two different things.

A loser is someone who spends time and energy doing something then realise they never really got anything out of it. So someone like Kbarr or Mugaaz who played a shitload of EQ but now thinks it was all a waste of time are the absolute definitions of losers. Especially Mugaaz who p****d his entire life away for something he now regrets.
EQ was (and for some is) fun. It's not a time sink, it's an experience, a game, a hobby. I've barely played in a year but do I regret any of the three and a half years I played? Not one second.

Lucky for women, its not as accepted anymore as it was before to beat a woman.
I really wonder about the men that beat their wife/gf bacause when my gf admited to have cheated on me , it never passe din my mind to hit her instead we had a good talk.
Im not saying that women never do anything to make a men mad enough to beat her, some women are total b*****s. But at the end if your women does everything she can to p****s you off...just be quiet and let her get mad...
Being quiet makes people get mad even more then if you beat them up.
for me a loser is someone that judges others all the time and those that hide or walk away when they have responsabilities.

A loser is someone with no self-esteem and a negative attitude. You can't be a loser if you are able to have fun and be yourself. f**k other peoples' opinions, they don't matter.
