The girl who cleans my house was roasting grubs and digging up wild yams in the forest just 4 months ago.

Additionally, the people who illegally hire illegal aliens should have no rights - they should have all their assets confiscated and used to pay for the social costs resulting from these illegal immigrants. Plus nice lengthy lock-em-up-and-throw-away-the-key jail terms. That would put an end to the problem.

Legal workers = pay taxes = money
Roads = need maintained = money needed = use taxes
illegals = don't pay taxes = drive on our roads = cause more damage to them = costing us more money

I don't have too big a problem with illegal aliens, so long as they aren't given rights. If they want to come here illegally, then they should be treated as second-class people. They're hard-working, too, so they take care of a lot of labor for cheap that we don't have to.

I don't have a big problem with illegal aliens either. I do have a big problem with the people who hire them. They come here, live in s****y dangerous places, have no health care, pay no taxes, and work for almost nothing. How do they do it? Some cheap shithead hires them to work in his field or clean his house, because they're a little less expensive than hiring an American since they don't demand the same standard of living.
But when the immigrant gets sick from not having enough health care to take care of themselves, or stabbed or shot because they live in a s****y neighborhood, or their kids have problems because there's nobody to be responsible for them, who has to take care of it? Social services, paid for by our taxes.
Meanwhile, what about the American that would have done the work if it payed well enough to live on? Collecting unemployment, again out of our taxes.
Who caused the problem? Not the immigrant - they're just doing the best they can. The person who hired them - broke American laws to get work done at a cheaper price and passed the cost on to the rest of society. They're the ones who belong in jail.

I don't think social services for illegals is that great a cost, though I could be wrong. Have you seen any figures, out of curiosity.
Illegals don't really take work away from Americans. Americans complain endlessly about a 6% unemployment rate, when Canada's is 10%+. They're filling necessary work that is undesirable for Americans, but more desirable for them than Mexico. If they come here illegally, they don't deserve any rights, but I take a "look the other way" approach when they're picking strawberries. Who here hasn't had an illegal cook your dinner or work on your house? Probably nobody.

Shit brother, I'm IN the club, they aren't. I just help them feed themselves since the government is too PC to get them the f**k out of here.
Build a 40 foot concrete road and mount it on its side all across mexico's border. Shoot at people who run when ordered to stop and booby trap our side at random places. That will cut down on the illegals in a heart beat.
Its that easy.
Untill then I'll use the cheap labor and smile all the way to the bank.

And I agree with the rights thing. They should have basic human rights and criminal rights, but that's it. It seems like any job that deals with people now requires that you are fluent in Spanish. What kind of rights do I have in Mexico? lmao.
At the VERY least you should learn English. If I ran the place nobody would be forced to speak another language. Here's how a hospital visit would go down:
(Illegal alien wanders in after being stabbed by thugs)
Illegal Alien: "Por favor! Mi estomago! Mi estomago!"
Hospital Person: "Calm down sir! I don't know what you're saying, so I'll just put you down for 5 vasectomies. Follow me!"

Now before some bleeding heart person tearfully replies, admonishing me that "this country was BUILT on the backs of immigrants, by gum!", let me point out that those people were processed at the docks like good wannabe citizens, not trucked over by the hundreds in the dead of night.

Does it get paid? Hell no, the stupid illegal hasn't got enough money to pay 900 dollars for an x-ray and 2000 dollars for the treatment, so what happens?
The hospital writes it off and takes a loss. Of course to make up for the money, the hospital raises it's prices. Xrays now cost 950 dollars, and the same treatment is 2100. So next time you go get treated, your insurance (socialized by the way) is forced to pay even MORE than it would have before. It's trickle down.
Giving illegals drivers licenses is f*****g b******t. The democratic party has stepped to a new low, proving the commie f*****s (not all demos, just Davis and his b***h Bustamente) will do ANYTHING to get the vote. They will lie, cheat, and COMPROMISE AMERICA in their quest to get into, and stay into power. It's really a scary thought.
They are trying to give the 6th largest economy in the world to f*****g MEXICO.

meh look at the bright side.. the more illegals you have driving cars... there's a better chance that they're going to hit each other... and if a whole bunch of illegal immigrants get into head on colissions, in their piece of junk cars.. there'll be that many more fatalities =p and that many less illegal immigrants

I don't know anything about this. I'm wondering how significant of a cost things like this really are. $1 million? $1 billion? And do they outweigh the total economic benefit of having low-cost labor?

DMV: "With no identification? Green card?"
Illegal Immigrant: "No, estoy un imigrante illegale." (sad face)
DMV: "Ohh, ok. Well let's get you a liscense then".
Alot like a guy walking into a pawn shop with a criminal record for firearm possesion and walking out with a mac-10.

To be able to *work* in canada .. I had to prove to have an "honest" relationship with a Canadian by birth.
- Pictures with the 2 of us, from the start of the relationship until now
- Statements of his friends, parents, family and collegues that they met me, at what date and where.
- Statements of my friends, parents, family with place and date they met Jason.
- ALL telephone and cellphone invoices, with dates, and the amount of time we called each other
- Letters and emails we wrote each other, with dates.
- Shared bank account, with transactions of the last 6 months
- Life insurance (sp)
- Criminal records (that one seems fair), Tax records since I am 18, translated by a Canadian Service for immigration
- All of my education forms, courses I ran
- Written statement from my last employer in Belgium, decribing my salary and behaviour
- Physical, X-ray, bloodtest, urine tests
- Proof of language knowlegde: French and English (previous employers, school, Canadian immigration service)
- Every country I've been to since the age of 18, copies of stamped passport
- Creditcard overviews for all the times we travelled together (plane tickets, hotel bills)
Once this was filed, which takes about 6 - 9 months, I can apply for a temporary work permit, which only allows me to work a job a canadian wouldn't be able to perform. From then on, it takes about 9 - 12 months again before I can receive my permanent residence, which finally gives me the right to see a doctor.
All this for 10 days of paid vacation, and s****y social security/healthcare =(
