Made the yearly pilgrimage to Knob Creek Gun Range in Kentucky this weekend. The weather was goofy. 80 one minute, tornados the next, 34 shortly after that but all in all it was a blast.
If you've never been to a full auto shoot, this is a good one to see. The night shoot is something to see (especially the first time). I took some video, but haven't gotten off the cam yet.
Had a buddy with space on the line (extremely hard to get) so I actually got to shoot this year. You can rent guns there from people on the line but I never have. The minigun is calling my name tho.
The M249 SAW got a little warm
They brought this 90mm artillery piece from New Mexico. Holy shit is that thing loud. It makes a MaDuece sound like a bb gun.
Here you can see the projectile
You can rent flamethrowers as well, but at $195 I passed. Setting fiberglass boats on fire would be kinda cool I have to admit tho.
A pic of the firing line during a cease fire.

Naw, there are definitely some interesting characters there, but its usually the people that work there. The dude running the 4 wheeler that was hauling ammo back to our truck had no clue what a car lease was. I shit you not. The shooters, and vendors however are totally different. You don't own full auto toys like these guys do living off disability or workin in a coal mine.

Isn't Know Creek a whiskey too? All of the people in your pictures scare me. There's also something inherently terrifying about all those old dudes shooting guns at night. Yikes.
However, that shark boat is awesome.

I am sorry but gun freaks are just plain creepy. Blowing stuff up is sweet, but most people who make that a hobby are missing something up top.

Hmm, I would rather spend my time with gun people than gaming people. The gun people wash, and know what its like to be with a woman on a regular basis.
Yeah, I would have to say gamers are the weirder group:)

Oh and if you need proof go to your local gaming store when they are playing a game, you can smell them from the front of the store...
Most people who clean their guns, I think clean themselves as well..

They only clean their guns and their sisters/moms shouldnt count.
Although gamers dont wash too much their anime GF's are just as much experience in their own heads.

Thats not exactly what I said. But I know one thing. If the shit hit the fan one day, and you lived close to me, odds are you would end up at my house looking for help.

Heh. I have heard this before a lot but it was more like 'If the shit hits the fan Im going to your dad's place...' from people at gun shows, no less, when we used to deal firearms
