I'd raise a kid and teach him or her how to be a considerate, ethical and moral person. A parent's role is not to determine the outcome of a child's life, it's to build up their character to live it, and to support them in the decisions that they make.
The rest of their lives is up to them. Why would it be any different?

Sorry to hear that Nahoo. I was kinna wondering what was going on lately with you, and now I guess I know. It is tough to end a relationship with someone after so long with them. I know I went through it a while back and it sucks.

I find it completly absurd and insanely ironic that a homosexual relationship was broken up over the issue of having a family. There are so many layered version of irony it's incredible.

this isnt the place i would normally post something like im about to (personal info) but im hoping in doing so, it might bring you a small amount of comfort or perhaps help you in some way shape or form.
so... *deep breath*
my hubby and i split up, back in 99/2000. we were sperated for half a year.
it was my choice to break it off, arguement issues... kids. his lack of spending time with the one we had and his lack of want for another 'ever'.
long story short, we did the marriage councilling thing, we talked through things, knowing his big concern wasnt totally selfish (though in some ways it was), helped us to find a middle ground ect.
my sitch was odviously different, but....
you never know hun, you might be able to make this work! babysit together for a day, talk about things (all aspects of this) dont get mad at his points of view or how he regaurds parenthood if it differs from you.
you two odviously love each other, i think you have something worth trying to salvage, dont give up hope and keep the communication open.
we are now on 11th year together instead of broken off at the 7 year itch stage. we had our second son together shameless mommy link.
sometimes things work out, not as you had hoped, but good none the less. 
i wish you both the best of luck hun much <3 for you nahu!
