They just did a major update and everyone has to redownload the entire game. It says 7 hours for me but hopefully that isn't the case.

This patch f****d over performance. I cant even run through qeynos w/o 20 HD churn pause. But when I can play, i'll tell you that it is an awesome game. Truly has a great addicting feel to it once they make performance / lag better.

Stop trying to run it on a crappy computer then because I noticed a performance increase with the latest patch. Truly an awesome game would be an overstatement just wait untill you Get some playtime under your belt and then come back and say that again:P

You mean the 500 threads by people with s****y computers? It runs perfectly on my 3.6 gig radeon x800xt rig. Maybe try turning some settings down since they give you 100 options for doing so before becoming one of those 500 people who post shit like "omgz thiz game suxorz i turned all my gfxz up to super ultra 2 years in the future high and i got some lag! heplz me plz!!

settings were under balanced at 1024x768 75 hz and it still runs like shit
No i dont have spyware on my computer

yes I defragged the HD

Yes I have SP2 which i think might be the reason why.

Sp2 is a great indication of why MS sucks.. they dont seem to get it.. firewall to protect against spyware why? so spyware doesnt clog up and slow down your machine. However MS failed to realize that it was hardly a viable alternative to stop spyware at the expense of clogging up and slowing down your machine thus accomplishing absolutely nothing.

I installed SP2 and I have had no problems, Doom3, FarCry, EQ, etc... Since I am going to FF i'll tell you how EQ2 is on the 11th.
