Freeport area, Beta1, levels will be in the teens I am sure, but Paco is a cleric and I am an enchanter, could use tanks, roguish folks, and even some more caster types!
Only those who will pay attention to HO's need apply... the chaotic mess of a pickup group will not work.

Those who know how to start them are better then those who can just follow them.

I have a lvl 12 (I think) cleric on beta 1 - if you want another one. I own.
and a HO is a skill-chain.

I never played EQLive - I was thinking of possibly playing EQ2 but I don't know every little thing about it.
Anyone care to explain how the skill chain applies specifically to group dynamics? Or can point me in the direction of a site explaining it in detail?

Example of two:
1 - Solo mage - Dot, DD, DD = on the last DD you will get an extra hit with the spell that does some good dmg. I do approx 55 dmg in that last hit vs 25-30 with the regular.
2 - group mage and cleric - Mage DD, Cleric DD, Mage DoT, Cleric heal = group heal instead of single target.

well it can get complicated for the very large chains becuase to start them things can get a bit crazy.
Teamspeak owns for EQ2, as well as other programs of that sort. I just use teamspeak because it is what everyone in my group uses.

Yea I can see it getting mildly complicated but I'm thinkin' anyone who has any kind of ability at playing their character and the game in general will grasp a concept as important as that ASAP... I like the way it sounds though, neat stuff...

No - say you're fighting a group of 4 mobs and a skill chain requires a cleric nuke, but the cleric is busy healing your group. Effect of the HO is an AE - it's critical for the cleric to do the nuke at the right time, otherwise your tank is dead and the AE won't be enough to finish the mobs.
Not doing the HO at all, however, might get you killed too, because you lacked the extra damage and the cleric runs oom.
=> if the cleric sucks, you'll be running back to your corpse.
Same with HOs requiring AE nukes - the retard hitting mezzed mobs isn't going to stay grouped much longer...
It doesn't require a PhD and years of experience with quantum physics, but it requires you to pay attention.

Sounds like I'm gonna love this game =P I loved when my groups were sufficient enough for me to throw some nukes in every now and then... and now it'll be necessary =P Solid.

Yeah, because if someone runs a skill at the wrong time it can break the starter chain (the first two moves are what starts the HO) and then you're starting over, and recasting a DoT is kind of useless in some ways.
