very interesting to know that when ill be death people will be able to start making trips in boats much more easier in the artic ocean.
People wil save 10 days for a trip from europe to Japan.
Even if all the icebergs melt it will NOT increase the level of water in Oceans enough for it to be noticable.
In fact the weight of those iceberg on the ocean already increase the level of water.
To understand this think about if you fil lyour bath at half and get in after..if you are fat like Eduin it will be full. Same for the icebergs.
Also rains/rivers give much more water peer years then all the icebergs and yet the level of water in ocean doesnt increase either.
few god things will actually happen if all the icebergs melt. like much more fishing spots etc...
So sorry but the world wont be covered by 500 feets of water.
Sorry but you wont see Kevin C. pee in a bottle to drink it like he does in the movie.

I think what he's trying to say is, if the polar icecaps melt, the water level of the worlds oceans wouldn't rise noticably. If he actually believes that, he's stupidier then we all think he is.
Mael, just do the math, there's literally millions of cubic feet of ice above the water service, that if melted, would raise the words water level enough to change the coastlines of every major country. People alot smarter then you an I have already done the calculations and wrote papers on the subject.
Rain doesn't affect water levels because it's part of the water-cycle. Water evaporates from the Earth's ocean's, condesnes, forms clouds, then comes raining back down to the surface. Effectivly keeping the water levels the same as before.
What did you think? Rain was magically created out of nothing? Sorry, you need to go back and take a basic geo-science course.

You aren't smart enough to make this up yourself, you stole it from some other d*****s and you are both wrong. Kurel is absolutely right.

Commentary from the same person that brought you first hand accounts of "year long acid trips" and "chromosome damage resulting from marijuana use."
Had you glanced at the article, you might have noticed that it was speaking only about the north pole, which does happen to be melting and/or sinking into the water. Antarctica, which contains 90% of the world's ice, is not melting at all and is actually expected to grow larger as warmer temperatures result in an increased snowfall. Granted, Maelstrom's grasp of the English language didn't succeed in conveying this point.
Most predictions estimate the rise of the world's water levels at tens of centimeters every thousand years. Everyone that says L.A. and New York are going to be underwater within the next century is playing off the same fear that brought you the Y2k hysteria.

ice is a very poor conductor of heat, and thus would take a freaking long time to melt

Interesting. Remember: water expands by about 10% when it freezes.

Im sorry he meant rain over 100 years, so until then there would have been more water more then the water melting from the north pole.
Its why the ocean level wont increase much. maybe a tiny bit which would be great .
