A typical solo fight against something challenging for me goes like this:
Bloodrage, wait 10 seconds, charge
Rend
Switch to defensive
Sunder armor, maybe Demoralizing Shout if needed
Heroic strike or something else to drop range down to 10 or less
Switch to battle stance
Hamstring
If caster, it should be trying to heal itself right about now
Swap to shield
Shield bash
etc.
This is like playing an EQ bard, but without as much tempo and rhythm to the twisting.
The class totally changed for me once I got another stance! :O

Stance Twisting is a lot of fun though.
It's much better then mashing "Taunt - Kick - Disarm" the whole time.

Yah it's a lot of fun. I wasn't expecting it. Was about to start a warlock since they seemed to have more pretty buttons to click during fights. Not so, it seems!

I've got over 36 hotkeys in EQ2, as glad as I am for them expanding over taunt, slam, disarm. There is a point where it gets retarded. THat was around #24.

I like lots of buttons, especially ones that are only valid in certain contexts: IE defensive + after opponent dodges.
add alchemy and right-clicks to your UI and at level 14 I think i'm doing pretty well with uh... 20 or so buttons.

I had to add another bank of hotkeys recently and I tried both the cosmos "PopBar" and the "Second Bar." I like the popbar because it's on the Right side of the screen, but I don't like the fact that when you mouse over it, another row of buttons shows up. Is there any way to permanently disable that 2nd row in popbar, or is there a way to move "Second Bar" to the right side? Other than modifying the UI files themselves of course.
Also is there any way to get hunters' pets' health to show up for group members? I frequently have a hunter pet tanking adds and without having their displayed it's a real pain in the ass to keep tabs on them.

yes im not sure where it is, but mine is done that way. there is a option to hide unused bars.the only time you will see them is when your dragging things into them.i use the 2nd bar and the pop bar moved over to the left, above the 2nd bar.
have your hunters make a macro to say when their pets need heals.
