Warhammer Online character advancement.

Hello. I heard that Alpha stage of Warhammer online is already fully active and functional to pretty much wide number of users already. But, that is just not the main thing, which is interesting me right now. When the character advancement comes to turn, what then? Is someone able to describe something more on this for me? Thanks so much in advance.
Char advancement seems to work on the tree tier system. Among 5 main tiers, there are main core abilities, secondary abilities and specialties. Mini levels are achieved within each tier and you can spend them on abilities later on. Berserkers, for example, have option to learn dual wield with two weapons, but I didn’t saw that on my own, yet.
