Could someone please explain to me what exactly is the tactics system in WAR supposed to be, and what does it do?
I get that it's supposed to be some kind of combat control system, but … well, I don't get much more than that, in all honesty. Some more info, please?

Well, tactics is sort of like skills in Guild Wars. It's an array of selectable abilities and qualities that improve your character if and when you assign them to it. You have a limited number of slots for them, of course, and this number scales with level, and you can choose before each battle which tactics you want to include.
