I know Mythic have said more than once that they will have "some system" in place to handle the expected population balance problems, but they never actually said what they're cooking up, did they? Do we know yet if it's going to be restrictive at all, or if it's going to be the lite "recommended server" option they go for?

We don't know yet, but the fact that they are admitting in advance that there is actually a problem, and that they're clearly willing to address it *somehow* is good enough for me. In many MMOs you would be hard pressed to get the devs to even do that much.
