Did I get it right, then? I hope not. Is it true that all races are divided into pairs, like Dwarves vs. Orcs, and Elves vs. Dark Elves, and EMpire vs. Chaos, and that you can only fight against one type of opponent, the ones of your chosen enemy race? That would just suck so bad... Tell me this isn't right!

It's not right.
If you're a dwarf, for example, you can fight all three Destruction factions (Orks, Dark Elves, Chaos). If you're an orc, you can fight dwarves, humans, and high elves, etc. It's as simple as that.
BTW, you wouldn't believe how many times I've heard this question. I'm sure it's answered in a number of FAQs, so how about you do some searching on your own before you pop the next question that has already been done to that? Thanks.
