What's your take on the most liked and the most disliked fantasy race of all? When it comes to elves, there's usually no ambiguity, you either loathe 'em or love 'em. Don't know how come they cause so much hard line attitudes, but the fact is they do. So, what do you say: Love them or hate them, and why?

I dislike elves on general principle. The whole race is this old school clich that glorifies the illusion of grandeur already present in most fans of epic fantasy and RPGs. There's very little to say about elves that hasn't been said before, and their racial descriptions can usually be summed up as "we're better than everyone else just because."
