Hey all,
I got a question here. I am installing Warcraft 3 on my old machine it used to run fine on it before, now when I installed the game the screen goes completly blank. So I am wondering what the f**k the problem is. I can hear sound coming out of the speakers, I am running a GeForeceTi on that machine, but the whole thing is that it ran fine back in the day. Wonder what the hell is wrong with it. I can run WoW on it as well as other games. Shit is weird, and if I try to change the Mhz on the screen above 60, the monitor does the same shit, it just goes blank. It's an old monitor, but it ran it as well, so wondering what the problem could be.

uh
i dunno
maybe the monitor can't handle the resolution
or maybe your version of directx is outdated or conflicting with something
or maybe you have a funky virus that could be doing anything
or maybe you need to update your video drivers
or maybe you didn't give enough information for anyone to have any idea what's wrong or how to fix the problem
so this is why they make those dumb FAQs on the battle.net website

on second thought
yeah, its the monitor
maybe you can figure out how to run wc3 in safe mode or change the settings outside the program so it doesnt run at the problem resolution

Not a newb, all the drivers are up to date and so is Direct X. And yeah I figured it out, was the refresh rate, the old monitor couldn't hand it. Had to make some changes, was weird shit.
