I am definitely sure that there is a way to become pretty much easily rich, just because there are the mostly the kids playing this game, so the economy just cannot be that much highly difficult like in some more serious games. If someone knows any trick or quick way to earn more money, why don’t he (or you) share that with us, right? Also, is there someone who doesn’t need his points because he decided to leave the game? Hey, the most smartest way to get rich is to start with resolving the quests. There are tricks and tips and hacks, I am quite sure, but where is all the beauty in the game based on the fact that you can actually achieve some goals for sure, without seeing all those nice things that truly cover this whole game in total. By the way, why don’t you just start to snoop around the community and yet you may find out something interesting.

Finishing the quests doesn't get you many neopoints. The ways to earn neopoints are:

Play games
But items and resell them at a profit
Buy stocks on the stock market
Buy hard to sell items cheaply and resell them on the forums
Open a shop and sell everything you get from the daily freebies
