Did anyone read that book that came out a year or two ago, I forget that name, by a woman who quit her professional job and spent a year working different minimum wage jobs, not using any of her savings or connections, just doing what any other unskilled person would do? As I recall, Walmart was one of her shittier jobs, along with Merry Maids.
I actually went in a Walmart for the first time in my life last week, while visiting relatives for Christmas. It made Kmart look like Nieman Marcus.

There was an interview with Maynard in a Guitar magazine and he said the funnest shit about walmart.
For people that didn't know... Tool's Undertow album was banned from walmart, becasue the soccer mom's that run the shithole didn't like it, but they allow rap with naked pictures of women on the covfer 8o\

I swear, I've seen Yellow Journalist post anti-wal-mart sentiments atleast two other times. I think it's time he hangs up the blue vest and finds himself a new job.

The book is called "Nickel and Dimed in America" I believe or something similar, basically it's about this lady that works minimum wage jobs and tries to make ends meet.

Yeah I despise Wal-Mart. I am in the works of finding something different. Retail is not my cup of tea. I work with people that are SO pro Wal-Mart its disgusting. Im not in management at the store I work with. I have managers tell me how great sales were. Like I really give a f**k. If I see an increase in wage then I will "care about what goes on", sales wise, merchandise wise, management wise.

Ya that's it Rennol. I think it's just Nickel and Dimed though but I could be wrong. Pretty interesting read.

Wal-Mart may suck to work in, but somehow the stock managed to split once since I bought it and work it's way back up to the original price... maybe to soon see another split. Then again, I was like, 14 and poor and bought all of 2 shares, so now I own 4.... but, yay Wal-Mart.

Wow, sounds exactly like Best Buy. It's like they have a cult there or something. Worst company I've ever worked for.
Although I have no love for Wal-Mart (they are fairly new here anyways), the ones around here are much cleaner than the K-Marts. Target is the best of the discount retailers, and Meijer is pretty ncie too.

I personally don't shop Wal-mart very often, but when I do I feel a sort of white-trash vibe from that place.
Target does own.
