The paladin is currently specced for Protection, up until I quit playing he was the best Protection Paladin on the server, having been in a big guild and tanking all through Kara, Serpent Shrine Cavern, and Tempest Keep, the guild was working on Kael when I finally quit (started my last year of college so I had to cut back).
he currently has 14.3k HP unbuffed, and easily reaches 20k fully buffed. Paladins, like all tank specced chars, have a steep learning curve, but he is damn good at what he does. If you're a player still experiencing kara then you'll be happy to have him in your raid as he's over geared for the instance and it'll be a wonderful learning experience if you'd like to keep him on the tank route of things... if you have any questions involving it I'd be more than happy to fill you in on just how to do things well.
As for items, he has all epics, except for his Sword. His sword is a blue that has + spell damage and + Block Rating (only sword in the game that has both), which makes it very viable for tanking. Paladin threat comes from your spell damage, i.e. holy dmg when you block, swing, ect.
Tier 4 Chestguard and Gloves, I had the token for the helm but turned it into the Ret piece since his current helm is far better. (I was very picky about what tier pieces I took, since the Tier stuff for tanking is rather lousy up until T6). His legs are T5, though he has a blue pair in his inventory which provide better single target tankin stats while these are better for AoE grinding or tanking (which was often his job, taking on 8-15 murlocks in SSC or massive groups in Kara). He has the darkmoon faire trinket (+51 Stamina and 10% chance to proc holy dmg when hit..amazing for aggro production.) And much more...
If you'd like to take him another way, I've been working on his Blacksmithing and picking up various items so he'd have a decent ret set, he has lots of ore and various materials in his bank I have yet to get around to using (I don't play anymore); and he has a rather impressive mostly epic healing set (Just as some warriors swap to DPS gear in raids when they aren't needed to tank, he would swap to his healing set on fights where a second tank was not needed. He easily did well on the healing meters despite not having a single point in Holy).
The Shaman is my old main, having been 60 and with a handful of Tier Gear, he's currently 65 and was mainly used for farming Primals. He's a lot of fun to play and simply tears through creatures (Enhance spec), I just haven't had the time or drive to level him further after investing so much time in my Paladin.
