Playing a high lvl ranger is all about being able to gut it out despite Verant making your life a living hell by nerfing loot, nerfing class abilities, and the like.
If you can't tough it out levelling yourself those 8 levels, you may want to pick an easier class to play in the high game.
Buy a JBB and a Fungi, make yourself a shaman, and PL yourself.

after level 50 PL is easy. Just group you and put you in a safe spot. Get to 50 and you may find some 65's that will do it if you pay them enough. Those are hell levels.

I'm a lazy b*****d and cant stand the exp grind anymore, all i like to do is raid.

We discussed doing PL'ing but after the frogs we decided against it. While we did make more $$ from it than we lost in plat sells, it was not worth it. Its too time inclusive. It only took us 2 1/2 days to get frogs to 65 but we were on 18 hours a day and it took 3 of us all 2-3 boxing each.
We are taking some time off before we do that again
