Can you use WINAMP to make mp3's from a cd in your cd-drive?
If so, how do you do it?

I don't think you can, but I could be wrong.
The ripper I use when I need one is CD-DA or something like that. Just do a search on Download.com and you can pick it up.

You can under Winamp 5 Cel. But I honestly forget how to do it since I don't use windows except when I have to print something.

Yup, winamp5 does it. Under preferences there is a section for CD ripping.

Winamp 5 will do it but unless you pay for the better version the freeware of Winamp 5 caps your speed at 2x, which means a cd that would normally take you 3-5 minutes at max speed is now going to take 45 minutes with winamp 5.
If you have Windows XP it has a built in burn utility, just move the files to which ever drive is your CD-R, it creates temporary files there, then theres an option to burn these files to CD in that folder.
