Sad data base errors yet again

I think Age of conan will be pretty sweet. I am kind of curious to see if its actually gonna come out for the xbox as well. that'd be kinda cool

I would say war for 3 reasons!
One- War will be by far a much more polished game
two- War will have by far more content with the RVR, city seiges, Player quests, and hidden dungeons.
Three - The combat will be balanced which will allow you not to be ganked by 2 oped classes such as in aoc.

It's due out in 2009 for xbox 360. Though its not going to work well as an "MMO" because of voice chat, more likely it will end up like Phantasy Star Universe/Guild Wars instanced type situation with instanced PvP.

AoC looks a lot better than WAR imho.

War just looked like a refurbished version of WoW, and no I'm not talking out of my ass. I've watched countless videos and have seen countless screen shots.

AoC on the other hand is implementing so many new systems.

I look forward to trying both honestly, I think WAR looks to be more of a true pvp'ers dream, but only time will tell Smile

1)Well it's pure speculation what game will be more polished.
2)After watching countless videos, it's safe to say that the world for AoC will be vast. The pvp implementation looks good too, with keep sieges. The raid content caps out at 24 players too, thank god.
3)AoC has made many changes recently to class balancing in pvp. Rangers were severely nerfed recently.

Im not saying that I will prefer AoC over WAR or vis versa, but those comments lead me to believe that you have already picked a side without being able to get a full hands on experience.

I hope they both do well, but currently Im gunning for AoC being better just because it's coming out sooner and I'm impatient. I've been bored with WoW lately. I'm ready for something new. :p

Can't really say, I'm leaning toward WAR because of DAOC-like PvP (RvR)... It'd be nice to be able to play them before buying them, I don't get why "open beta" is no longer open beta anymore, limited keys through preorders?

WAR looks like its going to be pretty cool, if it is better than AoC or not is something everyone is just going to have to wait for. So far AoC looks pretty cool and its been pretty fun to sever limbs Wink and decapitate people.

I think WAR will have more long-term play value b/c of the heavy PvP content, but then again I have no idea about AoC, haven't kept up.

I'd honestly say that WAR looks better. I have beta tested both games and I liked WAR the most. Although people have said that AoC has had tremendous improvements during the release version of the game.

The biggest difference (IMO) is that AoC is instanced. Nearly all areas in the game have a cap of 100 people in said place before there is another instance created. What exactly is the point of FFA if you cannot kill the majority of players becuase they are not in the same instance?

Why do you like WAR more? What about it specifically? I'm pretty excited to try it, as I've heard rave reviews about how it has similar PvP to DAOC. How would you compare the PvP?

I think there's a big difference between looks better and is better.

WAR looks way disney compared to AOC, so I doubt I'll be playing it.

WAR will be the superior game, its team is far more organised than that of funcom's and im pretty sure that they wont release the game with only 50% of the expected content. *cough* conan.

Cannot wait for WAR to come out! Ive read numerous articles and comments about AoC, and it seems like the game still has a lot of bugs. What upsets me more about AoC is that Funcom is not very good at fixing bugs on time and talking to their customers on forums, etc. And on top of that the game itself is worse than WAR =)

I think WAR will be a great game. It doesn't matter if it looks a lot like WoW because WoW is a great game also. Plus, the creators of DOAC are making WAR so that means the best pvp ever : D

I think WAR will be my next mmorpg i loved the rvr in DAOC and i will love for sure the RvR in WAR. Aoc is a great mmorpg but it's 50% pve 50% pvp.

It is funny to see the old topics of WAR vs AOC and see the change of it upon the release of AOC (from what I have heard, quite some players are happy with it, but it has its fair share of haters as well).

I played AoC in Open beta, Early access and now a month in release version. And at this time i'm bored.

I enjoy watching Warhammer video's more than playing AoC, i don't know why but this is how it is.

I'm looking forward for Warhammer.

I'll do anything to get into the closed beta...

Warhammer for me aswell.

It's graphics aren't as top notch as AOC, with very valid reasoning.

Huge RvR battles that need to run as fast and smoothly as possible with nice FPS.

I don't care how great a game looks, but if I need a $3000 rig to appreciate it and still get low FPS in a big battle, it's not worth it. IMO of course.

I have nothing against Conan, read the comics, even the movie, anticipated it's arrival, but due to having a somewhat dated PC, I didn't waste my time.

I honestly hope they both succede so we have good choices in games, and not pigeonholed into only one good game with a gajillion craptastic ones to fallback on.

Well, I would for one have to say WAR.

This is coming from someone who has bought and played AoC, and is also currently in the WAR beta. I've been in the beta for about a year now, and all I'm "allowed" to say is I'm in the beta.

The time that's being put into this beta at the moment by mythic will be key for the longevity and value of the game.

Please don't lose hope!
