After beta testing the 2nd vamped version of WAR, it left a really bad taste in my mouth.

AoC isn't doing so hot either.

Champions Online IMO.

AoC isn't all that bad, just needs a marginal amount of refinement. Its a lot better than a particular MMO on the market at the moment anyway :>

WAR for a player base of people who want to see a more Fantasy bestiary.

AoC will be for a more RP and Sci-Fi Exp with a bestiary not so wildly imaginative.

From what I get both are awesome with Graphics and art.

Age of Conan has more potential, i doubt funcom will be able to realise it though.

I've played AoC, I'll be siding with WAR as it looks like a game where there's always something to do. In AoC there is nothing to do at 80. Other than raid.

I'm REALLY excited about WAR, as I can see a lot here are. The universe that surrounds WAR in itself is just so mint, and it looks like there's a hell of a lot of customization in it too, which I lacked in wow because when you've tried the 9 classes it's just all the same if you want to make a new character ever... It looks like I'm going to have to try WAR, but I think I'm steering around AoC. The amount of positive response to that game is not as huge as the one on WAR and I'm not a rich man Smile

AoC just felt so bland and generic...nothing was really vivid or exciting, none of the zones, the encounters, instances, or classes. The combat felt kind of sluggish as well. Not to mention all the bugs and client problems.

That said, I did still manage to enjoy myself somewhat while I played it, but WAR is much more up my alley. I can see them both doing well though, I think it's just largely a matter of taste. Especially once AoC gets its act together and keeps patching.

AOC was a very well done game it just needs some more time to develope. I actually could jump in and get into the game in AOC - not really happening in Warhammer.

After playing AoC, watching it swiftly die, there is no way I will continue playing it, especially when lvl 80's rarely pvp as it is.

Funcom has had so many chances to remedy this situation and have taken advantage of not one of them. They screwed themselves terribly.

Alot of that has to do with the fact that the first 20 levels of AoC is designed more like single player. It's all fun and games until you hop into the whitesands or the caves below the city. Then lvl 25's run around gankin' the shit out of you and everything.

I was playing AoC until around level 30, I joined (on the most populated server) a large guild. There was around 30-40 80's online, and I asked them if they ever do mini-games, and they said "no, we mostly raid, sometimes we pvp." and this was on a PVP server, when i realized 80's didn't really pvp, it ended all interest i had in leveling.

Hate to break the news, but AoC blows WAR's graphics apart, but thats the only upside to the game. They have a decent pvp system intact, but it's wildly unbalanced. AoC has level 80's running around 1 shotting each other.

How much fun can it be where every class one shots every other class. No wonder no-one pvp's
