This is terrible. Anyone who participates in this "trade" should have their voter registration suspended. It is basically corrupting the American voting system, and basically steals the voice out of the swing states. Basically if you are a member of the Green Party in a swing state such as Ohio or Florida, you can trade your vote to a traditionally Republican state such as Texas, so that you (the green party member) vote for Kerry and a Democrate in a Republican state will vote for whichever canidate you want. This means people in these swing states vote for Kerry, who they normally would not be voting for, giving a significant edge to Kerry and throwing the electoral college out of whack.

Strategic voting is inevitable anytime you have more then two candidates in an election.

This is not true at all. If you prefer Kerry over Bush and Nader over both of them, who are you going to vote for? Since the chance of Nader winning is zero, voting for Kerry (That's voting for someone who is NOT your first preference) makes it more likely that a candidate you prefer wins over a candidate you prefer less.

I think this website just allows you to show support for a third party candidate while being able to show a preference between the candidates who have a chance.

I do agree that it does throw the electoral college out of whack. Of course its already out of whack when its winner is someone who loses a popular vote by half a million votes Smile

I was trying to put it into simple terms so idiots like yourself could understand.

Quot, "strategic voting" is almost strictly a left wing practice, therefore it favors Kerry and Kerry alone. The Nader supports have their voice regardless. All they aim for is their 1% and they will hit that regardless of whether or not the voter is in Ohio, Massachusets, or Texas- so the only purpose is not to have a "voice" but to skew the election.
