Is it possible to start the game up using this card? I have the Radeon 9700 Pro at work, and it would be nice if I could at least log on from there, to check how things are going and maybe do some crafting. I know combat and grouping are probably out of the question, right?

Pretty much, yeah. But for crafting only, I think you might just be able to cut it, if your turn all the video options way down of course, and set your expectations even lower. I managed the same with a 9600, though I did have 2 gigs of RAM, FWIW.
