I have been playing some mmorpg games and it was full of hacking. It was some 2d scrolling games Maple Story and Ghost Online. It seems like hacking is acceptable there and isnt illegal. What is the situation with Vanguard? Is hacking legal in this game? Couldnt find any thread on the official forum.

There are some hacks for Vanguard, however hacking is not allowed in the game and any threads about hacking are deleted. Also, your account can get banned if they find out you are hacking. So I dont recommend you to do that stuff. Sure you wouldnt like to get banned because of stupid hacks, would you?

No online game, and especially none that charge their player base a monthly fee will permit hacking in their game. Hacking is evil, its unfair to the honest hardworking player who worked for his progress. With that said, all games have hacks or third party software built by hackers NOT by the devs of said game. Some games might be more lenient then others, but you will run the risk of having your account suspended or banned if you are caught. Vanguard for instance has aLOT of gold farmer spamming bots, you’ll also see a lot of people using crafting bots, GMs do not seem to mind as long as you can respond to their tells within a fairly short time, which disappoints me. They do have a very strict policy about speed hackers though, and they are finally doing something about some of the gold farmers…

Well they have been hunting the gold famers since almost day one. But I think thats a fight they never will win. But they cannot give up on this since it would ruin the economy of the world if this is to be continued. Also many goldfarmers actually use exploits and hacks to get their golds as well.
